VOTER REGISTRATION
To register to vote in the State of New Hampshire, you must be a U.S. citizen and 18 years of age or older.
HOW AND WHERE TO REGISTER TO VOTE:
You must register with your town clerk up to 10 days before an election or on
Election Day at the polling place. The town clerk's offices have the official voter
registration forms. You will need to prove that you are a resident. Bring your
New Hampshire driver's license, your birth certificate or other proof of identity and
residency (such as a rent receipt or utility bill). If you were not born in the United
States you will need your passport or naturalization papers.

Party affiliation:
- You select your political party when you register: Democrat, Republican or Independent. Independents are free to vote for either the Republican or Democratic candidates in Primary elections. After voting in a Primary, the Independent voter will automatically become affiliated with the party he or she selects to vote for, unless after voting he or she asks to return to the Independent status
- You may change your party affiliation the day after an election and up to ninety days before a Primary.
